TFC. Cliff Greenfield
Director

Trooper Cliff Greenfield graduated from Grove City College, Grove City, PA in May of 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Communication. In December of 2005, he enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police. Upon graduating from the Academy, he was assigned to the Patrol Unit at Troop G, McConnellsburg. In 2009, Tpr. Greenfield transferred to the Patrol Unit at Troop A, Indiana. He is married and currently serves as a Public Information Officer/Community Services Officer for Troop A.

TFC. (Ret.) Deana Kirkland
Instructor
Trooper Deana Kirkland has been involved with the Indiana County Camp Cadet program since it started in 2008 and became a member of the Board of Directors in 2012.  She served in the United State Army Reserves from 1990 to 1996 where she served as an administrative clerk and diesel mechanic.  She graduated from Penn State University in May of 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice.  She reported to the Pennsylvania State Police Academy the same day.  In November of the same year, she graduated from the academy and became a member of interstate patrol at the State Police Station in Belle Vernon.  In 1996, she transferred to the Indiana Station’s Patrol 
Unit where she served for three years until she became a criminal investigator 
with the Indiana Station’s Crime Unit. She has continued to serve with this unit.   
Tpr. Kirkland is the Megan’s Law Liaison Officer for Indiana County.  She maintains the registered sex offender files and handles a majority of the Megan’s Law violations. 
She also handles a majority of the child sexual abuse cases for the Indiana Station.  She conducts forensic interviews with children at The Care Center of Indiana County, a center where children who are victims of abuse or witnesses of crimes are interviewed in a neutral environment.  Outside of the force, Trooper Kirkland runs 5k, 10k, and half marathon races.  She also has participated in mission trips through her church which she and her husband have done since 2006.  She is married to Tpr. (Ret.) Lonny Kirkland.

TFC. Mark McMahan
Instructor

Trooper Mark McMahan graduated from Marion Center High School in 1988. In 1986, Tpr. McMahan earned Eagle Scout rank in the Boy Scouts of America. He attended IUP from 1988-1991 and served in the PA National Guard from 1991 to 1997 as a combat engineering specialist. Upon completion of basic training, Tpr. McMahan was awarded the Trail Blazer award for graduating with top honors. In March of 2001, he enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police and has served at State Police installations in Lycoming, Potter, Somerset, and Indiana counties. Tpr. McMahan has received additional specialized training as a Trooper and currently works in areas serving as a Motor Carrier Inspector, CPR/First Aid Instructor, and Firearms Instructor. Tpr. McMahan is married and has two daughters.

Trooper Mathias Schmotzer
Instructor

Trooper Mathias G. Schmotzer graduated from West Mifflin High School in 2000. He served in the PA National Guard from 2000-2007 as a Military Police Officer and attended IUP from 2003-2007. In August of 2008, he enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police and has been stationed at Rockview and Indiana. He currently serves as a patrol officer at the Indiana Station.  Tpr. Schmotzer is married and has a daughter and son.

The Camp Cadet program is NOT in any way intended to serve as a "Boot Camp" for your child, and is NOT a solution for discipline problems within your home or school environment. Applicants accepted into the Camp Cadet program MAY BE REMOVED AT ANY TIME if they display repeated negative behavior considered to be disruptive or contrary to the goals of Camp Cadet.
